Night and Day
in Alaska

Painted for Alaska Waste on June 15, 2026, this piece turns one of the company’s commercial bins in Seward, Alaska into a small landscape — part of Alaska Waste’s project to beautify the city through the bins they own.

One side of the sky is day and the other is night: an orange sunset melting into the aurora borealis, a moose silhouette rimmed in green light, and a river running gold between the two. Public art doesn’t need a gallery — sometimes it doesn’t even need a wall.
